Role & seniority: MTS Software System Design Engineer (Member of Technical Staff level); senior/experienced system software test engineer.
Stack/tools: Linux internals; AI/ML knowledge; GPU/PC hardware context; C/C++, Python; test frameworks (gtest, ctest); debugging tools (gdb, valgrind, strace, perf); scripting (Python/Shell); CI/CD (preferred); container tech (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes) (preferred).
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases for complex system-level features; drive test automation.
Perform functional, integration, and system testing across multiple Linux distributions; analyze/debug across stack using Linux internals and performance tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence design for testability, maintain automated tests, investigate failures, and mentor junior engineers.
10–12 years in software testing/validation or system bring-up; strong Linux internals, boot flow, processes, memory, networking, kernel basics.
Hands-on experience with multiple Linux distributions and package/configuration management.
Proficiency in C/C++, debugging tools (gdb, valgrind, strace, perf), and scripting (Python/Shell); experience with test frameworks (gtest, ctest).
Ability to design effective test plans/cases; strong analytical, debugging, and collaboration skills.
