Full Description

  1. Knowledgeable of testing operations across PCD; support testing process design and development for the division. 2. Coordinate the design, procurement, and industrialization of test equipment, fixtures, and processes. 3. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, as well as with plant quality and safety functions, to ensure test equipment development complies with requirements, including electrical test and machine safety standards compliance. 4. Assess and drive improvement in new and existing test processes and procedures, including troubleshooting of Product Line Support and NPI tester related issues. 5. Generate and/or review specifications for test equipment and provide support in supplier selection and quotation process. 6. Collaborate with supplier for test equipment design and construction. 7. Support the creation of tester documentation: manuals / test procedures / drawings / operating instructions. 8. Support successful tester transfer and installation from supplier site to production facility. 9. Set up and validate test equipment, load and update test sequences, firmware, and machine configuration parameters. 10. Lead test equipment validation at both supplier and production facilities, to include MSAs. Collect and analyze early performance data, using applicable Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing approaches. 11. Drive tester readiness for production at the plant across all functions. 12. Assist in the analysis or interpretation of initial production test data. 13. Assure test equipment meets expected performance; track issues and follow up with appropriate resources to ensure issue resolution and closure. Support the troubleshooting of test equipment related yield issues. 14. Develop and maintain Standard Work related to test equipment, processes, and procedures; develop and deliver training on proper operation of test equipment and Standard Work to engineering and production personnel. 15. Collaborate in the creation of business case for Capital Appropriation Requests. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of three years of engineering experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Minimum of three years of experience in designing, building, and operating production test equipment. Familiarity with test scripting tools and basic instrumentation control methods. Basic programming skills for test automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, or similar). Understanding of quality principles and statistical tools (e.g., capability studies, gage R&R). Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Experience with shop floor control processes and technology (barcoding, product/process traceability). Experience working in a manufacturing or plant operations environment. Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and phase gate project management. Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.
