As a Storage Test and Qualification Engineer, you will qualify new Hard Disk Drive, Solid-state Drive (HDDs, SSDs), Tape media and all of the supporting software stack behind them, for successful usage in Google data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Create test plans, coordinate resources across test environments, and perform system-level functional, performance, and reliability testing for storage appliances and devices such as HDDs, SSDs, IO controllers, and Tape media. Analyze results to ensure that they meet Google's requirements and collaborate with ODMs/JDMs to ensure that the validation is up to Google standards. Report bugs and drive corrective action where needed with external suppliers and internal development teams. Communicate status updates to cross-functional teams and leadership. Organize data and incorporate learnings to maintain and improve the qualification process.
