Salary: $28 - $36 / hour
Role & seniority: Production Test Technician (engineering aide; entry to mid-level). Requires associ would degree or 3+ years related experience; aerospace experience preferred.
Stack/tools: Environmental test equipment (TVAC, thermal cycle chambers, thermal/vacuum chambers), vibration/shock equipment, DMMs, torque wrenches, thermocouples/accelerometers, ERP system, Microsoft Office.
Execute environmental tests on spaceflight hardware per procedures; operate test gear and document steps.
Set up and tear down fixturing, instrumentation, and test equipment; ensure proper documentation of procedures.
Record, organize, and deliver test data, run logs, temperature plots, and non-conformances for final reports; maintain test logs in ERP; perform routine maintenance on test systems.
Electronics-related associate degree or 3+ years of related experience; ability to read schematics and follow test procedures.
Troubleshooting skills; proficient with computers and MS Office.
Detail-oriented, organized, good written and verbal communication; ability to maintain clean/safe workspace; capable with hand and precision tools.
Physical ability to stand, climb stairs, and lift up to ~50 lbs.
2+ years in aerospace/high-reliability environment; industry certification, trade school, or military experience.

Job Description
A Production Test Technician is an engineering aide and is responsible for accurately performing test procedures that will validate customer specifications and determine if a product is suitable for delivery. They are expected to interact in detail with Production Test Engineers and in some instances, with Program Management, Design Engineers, and Software Engineers. Production Test Technicians will start Environmental tests in Thermal Chambers, Thermal Vacuum Chambers (TVAC) and run detailed procedures for Heat Pipe testing and may assist with Vibration or Shock testing. Our environmental test lab runs 24/7. Holiday work and weekends are required to meet SEAKR’s operating needs.
First Week (36 hours): Monday, Tuesday, Friday
Second Week (48 hours): Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Responsibilities
Execute environmental tests of space flight hardware using a variety of specialized equipment and tools, including: TVAC, thermal cycle chambers, DMMs, torque wrenches, etc. Perform instructions to operate space flight hardware and test equipment within test procedures, following steps accurately with proper documentation. Performs set-up and tear-down of fixturing, equipment, and instrumentation (such as thermocouples, accelerometers, etc) according to engineering procedures. Accurately document test results and non-conformances in production logs and ERP system. Record, prepare, organize, and deliver test data, run logs, temperature plots and other relevant documentation for inclusion in final test reports. Perform maintenance on thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, vibration table and/or test equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following 6S and lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
Electronics or related associate’s degree (AAS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or non-degreed with 3+ years of related experience and/or training. Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures and use logical troubleshooting techniques. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proactive, self-starter with strong attention to detail & organizational skills Good communicator, both written and oral. Ability to maintain an organized, clean workspace. Ability to utilize hand tools & precision tools. Physical requirements of this position include the use of stairs, standing for extended periods of time and occasional heavy lifting of 50 lbs.
2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the aerospace industry or Industry certification, Trade School training, and/or Military experience. Hands-on experience working in an aerospace or high-reliability, FOD sensitive environment with ESD sensitive components.
Experience with Environmental testing utilizing: Thermal Chambers, Thermal Vacuum Chambers, Heat Pipe Testing, and/or Vibration Testing. Proficient with electrical, mechanical and instrumentation systems with the ability to effectively troubleshoot problems. Experience assisting with writing technical work instructions related to Environmental Testing. Understanding and experience with quality management systems such as AS9100 Familiar with MIL-STD testing and NASA GEVS testing standards

Compensation: Base pay range is $28-36/hour depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan.
