Top 3 responsibilities

Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test artefacts and regression suites for mobile-focused applications.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and test artefacts (GitLab/Jenkins, Nexus), monitor results, report status.

Analyze execution outcomes, manage defect leakage, collaborate across QA, DevOps, developers and product owners; support manual testing where needed.
Must-have skills

5+ years IT QA/testing experience (including functional automation).

Role Purpose You will design, develop, execute and maintain automated test artefacts and regression suites for our mobile‑focused applications. Your work will ensure high‑quality releases, reliable CI/CD pipelines and close collaboration with developers, QA analysts and product owners.
Key Responsibilities Automation development – Create and sustain test scripts with Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Java and API testing tools following our enterprise Automation Framework. CI/CD integration – Build and maintain jobs in GitLab/Jenkins, manage artefacts in Nexus, trigger automated runs and monitor results. Result analysis – Analyse execution outcomes, report status to the Test Lead/Manager and track defect leakage. Feasibility assessment – Evaluate functional test cases for automation suitability and recommend manual alternatives when needed. Manual testing support – Create, maintain and execute manual test sets to complement automation coverage. Collaboration – Partner with QA analysts, developers, DevOps and product owners throughout sprint cycles (definition of done, defect triage, regression planning). Mentorship – Provide technical guidance to fellow Automation Engineers on framework usage, best practices and troubleshooting. Continuous improvement – Contribute to enhancing test processes, standards and metrics (coverage, execution time, reliability). Test management – Maintain test artefacts in JIRA XRay (or similar) and document findings clearly.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 5+ years in IT software QA/testing (including functional automation).
Automation expertise: Minimum 2 years hands‑on with Appium and API testing tools.
Programming: Strong Java skills; ability to write clean, reusable scripts.
CI/CD: Proven experience with GitLab/Jenkins, Nexus, and basic Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.
Domain knowledge: At least 2 years in the BFSI sector (personal finance, lending, etc.) – a plus.
Front‑end familiarity: Comfortable with CSS, HTML, Node.js and Angular (advantageous for UI validation).
Test management: Experience with JIRA XRay or similar tools is a plus.
Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Core competencies: Strong analytical & problem‑solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset in an Agile setting.
