Designation: Associate- Quality Assurance Location : Bangalore Working Hours: UK Shift Timings Relevant Experience : 3 - 5 years Role Purpose: We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in UI automation and functional testing, preferably from the financial services domain. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently owning test automation initiatives, collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams, and contributing to overall quality improvement. API testing exposure is an added advantage. Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication Ability to take ownership of testing activities Team player with a proactive, quality-focused mindset Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new tools/technologies Good to Have API automation exposure using RestAssured, or similar frameworks. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or Github Actions. Familiarity with Git and version control systems Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud-based environments Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber) Key Responsibilities & Mandatory Skills: 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing and UI Automation Design, develop, and maintain UI automation scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver Contribute to or enhance automation frameworks and improve test coverage Strong proficiency in Java, with solid understanding of OOP concepts Hands-on experience with Maven or Gradle builds tools API testing using Postman Work closely with developers, product owners, and business teams in Agile environments Prior experience in BFSI / Payments / Capital Markets / Investments domain Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing best practices Clear and effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Proven experience in designing, developing, or contributing to the creation of automation frameworks from the ground up, including establishing reusable components, defining standards, and ensuring scalability and maintainability. Hands-on expertise in database testing across relational systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or similar, with the ability to validate data integrity, perform complex queries, and ensure backend consistency in alignment with application workflows. Additional Recommended Responsibilities: Create and maintain test documentation (automation test plans, test cases, test data) Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups in Agile/Scrum teams. Provide metrics and reports on test execution, coverage, and defect trends.
