Position Summary
Please note: The Head of Test Delivery Operations focuses on academic test delivery and operational oversight, not IT software testing or Quality Assurance.
The Head of Test Delivery Operations leads the end-to-end delivery of all in-person assessment events across Janison’s education and professional portfolios. This role is accountable for operational excellence, scalable processes, financial performance and workforce capability across Test Delivery.
The role provides strategic and operational leadership across exam delivery, logistics, workforce management, risk and business systems, ensuring seamless event execution, strong client outcomes, and continuous improvement across the operating model.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Oversee the full lifecycle of exam delivery operations across all in-person programs Align operational planning with Janison’s strategic priorities, growth targets, and service standards Lead cross-functional operational strategy across Test Delivery functions
Operational Excellence & Integration
Drive continuous improvement, workflow optimisation and standardisation across delivery, logistics and business operations Oversee systems coordination, operational governance, reporting, and workflow efficiency Ensure processes are scalable to support peak periods, new programs, and national delivery Lead implementation of technology and automation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
Financial & Risk Management
Own event delivery budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), ensuring cost efficiency and profitability targets Maintain robust risk management frameworks across event execution, workforce, facilities, and client programs Monitor performance metrics and operational trends to inform data-driven decision making
People Leadership
Lead, coach and develop the Test Delivery teams to build a high-performing, engaged workforce Oversee recruitment, onboarding and management of the wider casual workforce, ensuring compliance and readiness Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and customer focus
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the senior point of escalation for all operational matters across exam programs Build strong client relationships and ensure delivery standards meet or exceed expectations Use feedback, incident data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement
