Job Description

Our Testers work with project teams to ensure software quality through systematic test planning, execution, and defect tracking, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability of applications before deployment. With deep knowledge of various types of applications, databases, and operating systems, they maintain high standards of product excellence and user satisfaction.

As an Automation Test Lead at Endava, you will be in charge of building, developing, and implementing automated tests to assure the quality of our software applications. You will take part in specific projects and work directly with our global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyze user stories, use cases, and requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional team members to define, refine, and optimize test cases. Plan and execute testing at all levels, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing. Lead and manage client interactions, ensuring clear communication and alignment on expectations. Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using various frameworks and programming languages. Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies throughout the development lifecycle. Apply quality engineering principles and best practices within an Agile environment. Prepare and maintain clear, comprehensive testing documentation and provide ongoing support as needed.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

6+ years of overall testing experience, including 4+ years specializing in automation testing. Experience in designing and building automation testing frameworks from scratch. Hands-on automation expertise across both front‑end and back‑end systems. Strong understanding of core software testing principles and methodologies.

Proficient in at least one programming language

• Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Extensive experience in UI manual and automation testing.
• Familiarity with Playwright and related technologies.
• Nice to have experience in Web Services / API automation testing.
• Nice to have solid understanding of performance testing techniques and tools.

Soft Skills

Demonstrates a strong eagerness to learn and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment. Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting issues with attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset. Comfortable working in English-speaking environments, with strong communication and collaboration skills. Able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings while maintaining high-quality work.
