Role Overview As a Senior / Intermediate QA Engineer, you will manage Quality Engineering teams delivering both manual and automated testing for financial and securities trading front-end applications. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong hands-on expertise in test automation, mobile testing, and API testing, along with leadership skills to collaborate with and guide offshore teams. A solid understanding of financial security data and securities trading platforms is critical to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web, mobile, and API applications Ensure end-to-end quality by implementing testing strategies, automation frameworks, and QA best practices Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to align testing with requirements Act as a liaison between onshore and offshore QA teams, ensuring smooth coordination and timely issue resolution Mentor and guide QA team members, providing technical leadership and enforcing QA standards Work in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Identify testing gaps and continuously improve processes through automation Ensure production roll testing coverage and attend production roll activities as required Coordinate testing tool enhancement needs with infrastructure and tools teams Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Use test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA / XRAY across multiple Scrum teams Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience 3–5 years of IT/software development experience with strong exposure to QA automation, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices Strong hands-on experience with Java + Selenium for UI automation Demonstrated knowledge of Financials and Securities Trading instruments (Brokerage / E*TRADE platforms) Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration phases Proven ability to lead QA efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment with short sprint cycles
