Job Overview QA / Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Understand product requirements and translate them into clear and structured test cases

• Design, write, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test reports

Perform different types of testing

• Functional testing

• Regression testing

• Integration testing

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Identify, document, track, and verify bugs using bug tracking tools

• Ensure overall product quality before each release

2. Automation Testing (Preferred)

• Participate in or build automated test scripts for web applications

• Maintain and improve existing automation test suites

• Collaborate with developers to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (if applicable)

3. Test Documentation & Process

• Organize and maintain well-structured testing documentation

• Continuously improve testing workflows, standards, and templates

• Ensure testing artifacts are easy to understand and reusable

4. Project Coordination (Lightweight PM Tasks)

• Assist in collecting and clarifying user requirements

• Help break down requirements into testable items

• Support task scheduling, release planning, and timeline tracking

• Coordinate testing progress and communicate status to the team

Requirements

Must-Have

• Experience in web application testing
• Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC)
• Excellent ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases
• Strong documentation and organization skills
• Familiar with bug tracking and test management tools
• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with automation testing (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.)
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs)
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
• Experience with CI/CD or automated testing pipelines
• Prior experience in QA + coordination / test lead–like roles
