Engineer – Software QA in Customer Engineering

We are seeking a highly motivated Software QA Engineer to join our Customer Engineering team. We are responsible for configuring TiVo OS according to the needs of TV manufacturers, driving the last-mile stabilization and providing technical consultancy. You will collaborate closely with TV manufacturers as well as various internal teams across Asia, Europe and America.

What you will get to do

Test Execution – perform manual scenarios, launch automated scripts, document results Defect Management – identify, report, track and collaborate with development for resolution Test Case Development – analyze requirements, define criteria, create tests. Continuous Learning - develop skills and gain practical experience and knowledge on QA best practices to enhance testing skills and contribute to process improvements Work with embedded devices (TVs and set-top-boxes). Develop customer-facing technical instructions. Generate and test security-related assets (keys, certificates). Perform first verification of hardware prototypes and maintain their inventory.

Who we are looking for

Must have

Experience with Linux operating systems.

Testing mindset: diligence, ability to filter out the essence of an issue, understand its impact and severity. Autonomy in thinking and resolving problems; agility and self-discipline at work. Clear and precise communication, both verbal and written. English at B2 level.

Nice to have

Coding skills in scripting languages: such as Python and Bash. Knowledge of JavaScript / HTML. ISTQB certification or equivalent. Degree in computer science or electronics.

What can you learn

Operating Linux embedded systems at expert level.

Modern smart TV ecosystem architecture: operating system & native applications, HTML/JS layer, server/backend environments. Testing automation with Pytest, Selenium, screen-recognition frameworks, etc. Modern security mechanisms for consumer electronics. Understanding modern browser/web technologies. Programming in Python.
