Plan and prepare tests: define test conditions and detailed test cases

Collaborate and report: clarify requirements with developers/QA/PO; produce test reports and metrics; support release readiness and continuous improvement
Solid SDLC knowledge with Agile experience
Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools
Ability to write clear, structured test cases and execute them independently
Analytical problem-solving and strong communication
Defect management and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Dublin, on-site 2 days per week; 6-month contract with potential extension to 12 months
Eligibility to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or EU/UK passport) or valid long-term work visa required
Test Lead - Technical
Location: Dublin – 2 days onsite
Duration: 6-month contract with further extension to 12 months
Job Purpose Technical Test Lead plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products across the delivery lifecycle. This role suits someone with solid hands-on testing experience who can work independently, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement within the QA practice.
Key Responsibilities
test planning and preparation: Analyse Census test requirements, define test conditions, and create detailed test cases.
test execution: Coordinate functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across multiple Census platforms.
defect management: Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
collaboration with developers and product teams: Clarify requirements, support triage sessions, and ensure shared understanding of quality expectations.
test data creation: Prepare and maintain test data sets to support various test cycles.
automation contribution: Support the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable.
documentation and reporting: Produce clear test reports, metrics, and evidence for release readiness.
continuous improvement: Suggest enhancements to processes, tools, and ways of working.
Required Skills & Experience Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile methodologies. Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Ability to write clear, structured test cases and execute them independently. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes. Strong communication skills for working with developers, BAs, and product owners.
Mandatory Qualification ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent. Desirable Skills Performance or security testing exposure.
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
