Duration: 6 months contract with further extension to 12 months
Job Purpose The Senior Test Manager is responsible for leading the organisation’s end-to-end testing strategy, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple programmes and product lines. This role combines strategic planning, technical depth, and strong leadership to drive continuous improvement in quality engineering practices.
Significant experience in the following is required
Test Strategy: Significant experience in developing test strategies of similar scale and size
Test leadership: Leading test teams across projects, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
Governance and reporting: Establish KPIs, quality gates, and executive-level reporting mechanisms.
Automation oversight: Drive adoption of automation, CI/CD integration, and modern tooling.
Risk management: Identify quality risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder engagement: Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to align on quality outcomes.
Process improvement: Champion continuous improvement, lean testing practices, and shift-left/shift-right approaches.
Test planning and execution: Oversee test plans, test cycles, defect management, and release readiness.
Coaching and mentoring: Available to develop the capability of the wider test teams across the organisation.
Excellent communication: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and present quality insights clearly.
