TELUS Health is Canada's largest healthcare technology provider. We develop and manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and secure health information exchange platforms that serve medical clinics, provincial health authorities, and hospitals nationwide. We're seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to manage and coordinate our QA team working on complex, multi-tier healthcare systems. You'll lead quality strategy, mentor QA professionals, and ensure our EMR solutions are delivered with the highest standards of quality and reliability.What you will do Quality Strategy & Process
Define and implement QA strategies, methodologies, and best practices Establish quality standards, metrics, and KPIs to measure effectiveness Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and tools Evaluate and implement automated testing tools and frameworks Develop QA policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Testing Oversight
Oversee planning and execution of functional, integration, regression, systems integration, and UAT testing Review and approve test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts Monitor testing progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both GUI and non-GUI environments Support UAT coordination and production issue resolution
Team Leadership
Lead and coordinate a team of QA testers Assign tasks, manage workload distribution, and optimize team resources Mentoring and supporting professional development Foster collaboration between QA, Development, Product, and Business Analysis teams
Stakeholder Management
Serve as primary QA contact for leadership and stakeholders Provide regular quality reports, status updates, and risk assessments Participate in project planning to provide QA estimates and resource requirements
What you bring
7–10+ years in QA with increasing responsibility, including 3+ years leading QA teams Proven success testing complex, large-scale systems and building high-performing QA organizations Expert in QA principles, methodologies, and tools, with deep black-box testing experience on multi-tier architectures Advanced SQL; experience with automated testing frameworks, version control, and Python Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and API testing tools (Postman) Strong communicator and leader with excellent coaching and stakeholder management skills Analytical, detail-oriented problem solver with strong time management and a results-driven, customer-focused mindset Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
