Staff/Principal Test Development Engineer – AI/ML

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled System Software design engineer with a deep understanding of Linux internals, AI/ML working knowledege, GPU, PC Hardware, strong knowledge of various Linux distributions, and hands‑on expertise in test frameworks and C/C++, Python development. This role involves designing robust test strategies, building test plans, developing automation, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure high‑quality software.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases for complex system‑level features.
Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing across different Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, RHEL, SLES, etc.).
Analyze and debug issues across the software stack using strong knowledge of Linux internals, system services, kernel-level behavior, performance tools, and logs.
Strong hold on AI Models (Training and Inference) and HPC benchmarks - validation, optimization and tunning them.
Develop and maintain automated tests using gtest, ctest, and other relevant test frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testability and influence design decisions to improve product quality.
Write clean, maintainable C/C++, Python code for test automation, validation tools, and testing infrastructure.

Required Qualifications
12–15 years of industry experience in software testing, validation, or system bring-up.
Product development or systems engineering background with hardware platforms and their software & firmware ecosystems
Analyze and debug issues across the software stack using strong knowledge of Linux internals, system services, kernel-level behavior, performance tools, and logs.
Strong hold on AI Models (Training and Inference) and HPC benchmarks - validation, optimization and tunning them.
Hands-on experience with multiple Linux distributions and package/configuration management.
Proficiency with C/C++, debugging tools and scripting languages (Python/Shell).
Test plan and test development experience for a range of industry workloads
Strong knowledge of GPU, CPU, SoC or computer system architecture
Knowledge of OpenCL or CUDA GPU Computing Languages a plus
Proven record in large scale data center engineering
Parallel Computing Skills with MPI Programing experience a plus
Deep Learning, High Performance Computing or GPU Server Based computing a big plus
Cloud, Virtualization and Container environments
System level, functional and environmental stress testing
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
