Top 3 responsibilities

Define, implementing, and maintaining the Testing Strategy and governance framework; ensure templates, processes, and dashboards are reusable across initiatives; enforce compliance with Bank IT, Audit, and Compliance standards.

Oversee testing progress across initiatives (health, timelines, risks); monitor entry/exit criteria and test readiness; provide governance for large/critical projects.

Develop and deliver user training for test scripting, execution, and defect logging; schedule and monitor user testing across 260+ initiatives; drive adoption of reusable test assets and capture lessons learned.

Full Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Governance & Frameworks
- Own and maintain the overall Testing Strategy and governance framework for Group Operations (GO).
- Define, implement and maintain standard templates, processes, and dashboards for reuse across initiatives.
- Oversee test governance, ensuring compliance with Bank IT, Audit, and Compliance standards.
- Provide oversight of large/critical projects to ensure quality assurance practices are rigorously followed.
- Operational Delivery
- Provide oversight on testing progress across initiatives (health, timelines, risks).
- Monitor adherence to testing entry/exit criteria without having to directly manage every test.
- Track test readiness and completion status across Transformation and BAU.
- User Enablement & Scheduling
- Develop and deliver training programmes for Ops users (test scripting, execution, defect logging).
- Establish a process to capture and monitor user availability for testing across 260+ initiatives.
- Where possible, participate in planning of user testing schedules to ensure feasibility and visibility.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive adoption of reusable test assets (scenario libraries, test packs).
- Capture lessons learned from each cycle and update frameworks accordingly.
- Track and report on testing KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, rework rates).
- Post-Transformation (BAU)
- Continue to govern and support testing for BAU change requests and BU-driven initiatives.
- Sustain continuous improvement in testing practices and user capability.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Technical/Functional Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office tool (i.e MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, UAT).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, ALM).
- Exposure to test automation e.g HP ALM, LoadRunner is a plus.
- Prior experience in banking/finance testing preferred.
