Salary: NZ$80,000 - NZ$110,000 / year
Role & seniority: Automation Test Engineer (mid-senior) reporting to Development Manager; hands-on QA automation lead within a DevOps-focused team.
Stack/tools: Playwright or Selenium; Jira, Confluence, DevOps, Postman; UI, backend, and API testing; languages: C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML; CI/CD integration.
Own and evolve QA automation approach; define standards and release-readiness criteria; maintain test plans aligned to delivery cycles.
Execute manual and automated testing across web, cloud, and integrated systems; identify defects early; support UAT and tool/framework evaluation.
Develop, maintain, and run automated test scripts; integrate test automation into the development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines; collaborate with developers, QA Lead, and stakeholders.
Proven Automation Test Engineer with experience designing test strategies and building frameworks from scratch.
Hands-on with Playwright/Selenium (or equivalent); strong testing methodologies, defect tracking, and SDLC knowledge.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, DevOps, Postman; UI, backend, and API testing; comfort in a DevOps-led environment.
Autonomous, detail-focused, proactive ownership of product quality; strong communication and collaboration.
Quality Assurance certification; degree/diploma in related field.
NZ work authorization; experience with C#/TypeScript/JavaScript/HTML.
