As the SAP Test Manager, you will have a pivotal role in defining and implementing the test strategy, leading end-to-end quality assurance for S/4 HANA migration and implementations, as well as SAP ERP applications. You will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and providing operational support for testing activities, while also facilitating communication between different teams. Working closely with project managers, software developers, and quality assurance teams, you will ensure that testing is executed effectively and efficiently. As a member of the central test management team, the Test Coordinator will be responsible for creating test plans, managing test schedules, tracking defects, and ensuring that all testing activities are completed according to project timelines and quality standards. Here’s what you’ll do: Collaborate within the central Test Management team to establish enterprise-level SAP test strategies, methodologies, and approaches for both functional and non-functional test automation. Engage closely with Project Managers to effectively manage test scope, estimate costs and efforts, handle risks, and provide periodic progress reports, highlighting challenges and proposing potential solutions to senior management. Plan, manage, and coordinate test management activities for the S4 HANA Migration Project across various SAP streams such as Sales and Distribution, Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Logistics, Security, and Demand Chain, ensuring successful project completion. Provide guidance to deployment teams on developing test cases, identifying test needs, and troubleshooting issues, supporting them throughout the testing process. Act as the main point of contact for deployment teams, channeling testing requests to relevant teams and departments to ensure efficient coordination. Understand the unique challenges associated with SAP testing and collaborate with the Central Test Management team to develop and provide appropriate solutions. Coordinate testing activities and synchronize efforts across multiple SAP deployment projects. Ensure adherence to standardized testing approaches and best practices. Support the central test management group in exploring new aspects of testing, such as automation and non-functional testing, and contribute to solutioning in these areas. Do you qualify? Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong knowledge of the overall software test life cycle. More than 10 years of experience in SAP Test Management or coordination, preferably with SAP Solution Manager for S4/HANA. Strong organizational and project management experience. Working experience with various S4/HANA functionalities and SAP Modules such as SD, MM, WM, and FICO. Good to have experience in SAP test automation and relevant frameworks and tools like TOSCA, UFT, and SAP TAO. ISTQB certification or other equivalent certifications in the field of quality assurance. Experience working in a co-located team, with a willingness to travel. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Nice to Haves: Additional professional certifications in project management or related fields. Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in a multinational environment. Proficiency in using project management tools and methodologies. Working Conditions and Special Demands: Travel: will be required and may increase for limited periods during go-live/post-go-live at different ZEISS locations across the Americas. Compensation: The annual pay range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000 The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
