General purpose of this position We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented QA Engineer to join the team responsible for Mexico’s #1 online gaming and sports betting platform. You will be the first line of defense in ensuring our millions of users have a flawless experience across Desktop, Mobile Web, and Native Apps (iOS/Android). This is not just a manual testing role. We are looking for someone who understands how the web works (DOM, Network requests, Cookies) and is eager to learn test automation.
Position Tasks / Responsibilities
Execution: Execute manual test plans for critical user flows, including Registration, Login, Cashier (Deposits/Withdrawals), and Sports Betting/Casino gameplay to ensure business stability.
Mobile First: Validate UI/UX consistency across varied mobile devices (iOS & Android) and ensure responsive web behavior matches designs.
Technical Debugging: Go beyond "it's broken." Use Chrome DevTools to analyze Console logs, Network requests (API calls), and Cookies/Storage to pinpoint the root cause before escalating to developers.
Smoke Testing: Perform daily health checks and identify scenarios for rapid "smoke tests" on hotfixes or production releases to ensure immediate stability.
Documentation: Write clear, concise bug reports in Jira, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and technical evidence (logs/payloads).
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and remote team members to understand requirements and ensure seamless communication.
Automation Growth (Bonus): Contribute to the ongoing development of our automated testing capabilities (Playwright) by identifying stable manual scenarios for automation.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, specifically in high-traffic web applications (E-commerce, Fintech, or Gaming preferred).
Technical Web Knowledge: Strong understanding of how the web works (HTML, DOM, CSS).
Debugging Tools: Proficiency with Chrome DevTools is mandatory. You must be able to inspect Network calls (API requests/responses), analyze Console errors, and manipulate Local Storage/Cookies.
Mobile Testing: Proven experience testing Responsive Web and Native Apps (iOS & Android). You understand the difference between testing on a Simulator vs. a Real Device.
Automation Readiness: Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript. While this is primarily a manual role, you must be capable of running existing Playwright scripts and reading code to understand logic.
Test Management: Experience writing structured test plans in Jira/Xray (or similar). You write bug reports that developers rarely reject.
Agile/Scrum: Comfortable working in fast-paced Sprints, participating in daily stand-ups, and managing your own backlog.
Language: Intermediate/Advanced English (Written is crucial for documentation/reporting).
Experience specifically with Playwright. Background in Sports Betting, Casino, or Fintech (handling real-money transaction flows). Experience with API Testing tools (Postman/Insomnia).
