Your Job
As Test Manager you will lead and develop the Test Area to ensure continuous, high-quality operation of test lines and integrations. You will drive improvements, coordinate cross-functional projects, and provide technical leadership for test architecture, MES integrations, and failure analysis to support both local operations and U.S.-based engineering teams.
Our Team
You will join the OSCO division in Guadalajara — a cross-functional team working closely with Engineering, Production, and supply chain partners. The team ensures testing operations run reliably across shifts and collaborates with U.S. teams to solve technical problems and deliver continuous improvements.
What You Will Do
Own the Test Area’s operational performance: review BU KPIs daily and implement actions to meet targets. Ensure test lines operate reliably 24/7 by driving preventive and corrective strategies to minimize downtime. Lead cross-functional alignment on open projects and continuous improvement initiatives with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and other stakeholders. Architect, document, and develop tester systems and automated test solutions; transfer knowledge to the team. Manage MES administration and integrations to ensure accurate data flow and reporting for tests and failure analysis (FA). Generate and present FA findings to internal teams and U.S. engineering groups; coordinate follow-up actions. Apply statistical analysis (pareto charts, box plots, Cpk, pivot tables) to identify root causes and prioritize improvements. Use root-cause-analysis methodologies and tools to drive sustainable corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Oversee technical purchasing activities: create quotes, manage orders, and follow up on deliveries for test equipment and components. Facilitate technical test meetings and escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Optoelectronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Extensive experience in test management, test engineering, or equivalent roles within manufacturing/testing environments. Advanced English (written and spoken) — able to communicate technical issues and lead discussions with U.S.-based teams. Demonstrated experience with software development concepts and hardware integration (hardware integrator). Experience with MES administration/integrations and applied statistical analysis for manufacturing quality (Cpk, paretos, box plots, pivot tables).
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
Hands-on experience with fiber optics technologies and testing. Proven track record in performing and coordinating Failure Analysis (FA) with international engineering teams. Experience designing and building automated tester architectures and test solutions. Experience managing technical purchases, vendor quotations, and supplier follow-up. Experience leading teams in 24/7 production environments and executing continuous improvement projects. Familiarity with root-cause frameworks and tools (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys) and translating findings into corrective actions.
