What Makes This Role Unique
TrackVia’s platform is highly dynamic: application behavior, workflows, and data models are driven by configuration rather than hard-coded logic. This creates unique quality challenges and opportunities.
As Lead QA Engineer, You’ll Work On

Define and Scale QA Strategy
Define and evolve test strategies covering functional, regression, performance, and integration testing Mentor QA Engineers and SDETs through code reviews, test design guidance, and ongoing development Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively address quality and risk areas Contribute hands-on through automated and manual testing as needed to support delivery timelines
Champion Release Quality
Partner with Engineering and Operations to manage QA environments and release readiness Participate in release train planning, providing clear visibility into quality status and risk Diagnose and analyze defects, collaborating closely with QA and Engineering teams to ensure timely resolution Continuously improve testing tools, workflows, and deployment processes
Collaborate Across the Organization
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to define acceptance criteria and quality expectations Review system requirements and technical designs from a quality and risk perspective Communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Assist with the promotion and deployment of releases
Must-Have Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Test Automation, with demonstrated technical and team leadership Experience influencing quality practices at the team or organizational level Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar) Hands-on experience testing APIs, web applications, and ideally mobile applications Deep understanding of QA methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, black-box, and white-box testing Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern version control workflows (GitLab preferred) Experience defining and using QA metrics and KPIs to guide decision-making and improve outcomes Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose complex system issues Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, and Operations teams
Nice to Have
Experience with e2e testing tools (e.g., Appium, Cypress) Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL Experience testing highly configurable or data-driven platforms Background in SaaS or B2B enterprise software environments
