We are looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Lead QA Engineer with strong automation expertise to join our dynamic team. You will own quality strategy, testing frameworks, and release readiness for our applications. You will balance hands-on automation with leadership responsibilities, ensuring our teams deliver reliable, high-performing products.
Duties And Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the QA team, establish best practices, and own release quality. Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery. Collaborate with Engineering and Product on requirements, acceptance criteria, and test strategies. Track and report quality metrics (test coverage, defect leakage, automation success).
Drive process improvements: shift-left testing, exploratory testing, and new tool adoption.
Requirements
6+ years in QA, incl. 2+ in a Lead/Senior role in software or web product testing. Strong hands-on coding in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript. Solid automation expertise (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Appium). Experience with API testing and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Postman, Charles Proxy, etc.). Expertise in executing white-box, gray-box, black-box, regression, smoke, and integration testing. Experience working on QA for a software product during both initial development and live operations, with ongoing development and release cycles. Proficient in QA processes, test case design, agile methodologies. Highly detail-oriented and methodical, with the ability to efficiently prioritize tasks. Fast and independent worker; agile and flexible in adapting to a fast-paced, evolving environment. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a high-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive problem solver; anticipates constraints and takes early steps to mitigate risks.
