Full Description

Schneider Electric is seeking a candidate for the position of Test Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India. This position will be responsible for Validating PV Grid Tie, Storage/Hybrid inverters, MPPT chanrge controllers and support DVT and Engineering teams.

Job Description

To perform the test and verify performance of PV inverter(off-grid/on-grid) storage systems and charge controllers as per the functional specification, implicit industry standards, and design standards.
To Test, collect, analyze the test results and communicate to design team. Work closely with design engineers.
To Plan, identify, and procure the test equipment as per the test requirement
To prepare the test plan, procedures and test reports is must.
Shall manage lab equipment, handling and calibration.
Conduct product safety/ performance tests on Electronic & Electrical products according to standards or testing methods/SOPs

Primary Qualifications and experience

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
3+ years related industry experience with power electronics,
with a focus on medium power 3-phase equipment. Knowledge on testing inverters, UPS is desirable.
Requirement Analysis, Test Case Writing, Test case Execution, Defect Reporting
Candidates having experience in test Automation using Python scripting are preferred.

Skills and Requirements

Perform Electrical/Electronic products sample “construction checks”, Prepare samples & test plan and conduct test program as per prescribed testing methods/ Test Request Form, standards / specifications. Support & conduct testing according to relevant standards. Prepare test data sheets &reports
Follow & Oversee for Testing Integrity, test-data/record Accuracy and equipment used for test. Consumable use, if req.
Provide feedback to Manager/ Mgmt regarding processes and recommendations for improvements.
Ability to work with team engineers and to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge & Aptitude for testing of PV inverter (preferred) /Electronics /laboratory instruments / manufacturing sector. Hands on testing experience is a must.
Working knowledge of IEC / EN / UL standards relating to electronics products.
Understanding of product Electro Magnetic Compliance testing requirements would be an advantage
