Google - Network Automation Engineer (Remote) The Network Reliability Engineering team is responsible for building, maintaining, and automating our infrastructure at scale. In this position you will provide Network Automation configuration, software development, and reporting services.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Network Reliability Engineering projects
• Test and evaluate emerging technologies and platforms for possible integration within GFiber’s OSS stack..
• Provide support for an Ansible AWX and/or Ansible AAP environment
• Develop Ansible Playbooks
• Develop Ansible Network Modules
• Receive work tickets from NRE STAR
• Develop supporting code / scripts
• Ongoing communication with team and cross functional program stakeholders regarding any efficiency opportunities or identified risks
• Write, deploy, and maintain software to automate complex operational tasks and telemetry across our suite of infrastructure and services.
• Create system level and detailed designs, and curate useful documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Ansible playbooks
• Experience developing Ansible Network modules
• Experience with Ansible Core, Ansible AWX, and RedHat Ansible Automation Platforms
• Experience in DevOps, writing, testing, deploying, and supporting automation code (Python and Go).
• Experience with cloud native infrastructure (Google Compute, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, etc).
• Previous experience supporting Network Reliability Engineering projects
