Role & seniority: Quality Assurance Analyst, mid-level; focused on Enterprise APIs quality within Uphold’s Enterprise APIs Engineering team.
Stack/tools: REST API testing; Postman, Bruno (or similar); OAuth2/JWT; webhooks/callbacks; API contracts/JSON schemas; bug tracking tools; agile/lean environments; documentation and test evidence.
Test and validate REST APIs for financial/payments features; design and execute API test cases, including edge cases and error scenarios.
Collaborate with engineering across the SDLC; review requirements and API docs; perform manual/exploratory testing across API (and UI where relevant).
Record defects clearly, maintain test documentation/evidence, and contribute to expanding automated API tests and overall quality improvements.
3+ years in QA/software testing with hands-on API testing experience.
Experience with REST API testing (Postman, similar tools); test design and defect reporting; exploratory testing; agile/lean environments; strong communication in English.
Experience with asynchronous/event-driven flows (webhooks); contributing to automated API tests (Newman, Cypress); familiarity with JSON schemas/API contracts; domain experience in fintech/payments/trading or regulated environments.
