Job Summary The Software Test Engineer will lead system-level testing efforts for Epiq’s software-defined radio products. This includes managing the radios within the automated test infrastructure, developing, integrating, and executing tests for new SDR features developed by software engineers, and automating reporting of test results. The ideal candidate is passionate about test automation, system integration, and supporting the development of reliable, high-performance embedded radio systems for our customers. Technical Responsibilities Manage and maintain the automated test infrastructure, ensuring >95% availability of the hardware. Integrate and configure new nodes in the test infrastructure supporting development, upcoming release, and released environments. Develop and integrate Pytest based tests to validate SDR functions working closely with the software engineers. Automate the collection and reporting of test results through Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence. Lead system-level testing of SDR software features such as fast frequency hopping and other advanced functionalities. Establish comprehensive test plans and procedures and produce automated reports including RF plots. Collaborate with software engineers to support streamlined workflows focused on system-level validation. Maintain driver testing and ensure integration with software releases. Coordinate with field applications engineers to replicate customer reported issues and provide detailed JIRA issues to include the environment and steps to reproduce enabling software engineers to fix any bugs in a more expedient manner.

Collaboration and Leadership Work closely with developers to align on testing strategy and feedback loops. Provide actionable feedback and enhancements to development workflows. Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving CI/CD and product quality.

Requirements

• Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automated software and system testing.
• Experience managing test infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong skills in Python and Pytest framework.
