Role: Automation/Test Engineer (mid-senior, 5–8 years)
Stack/Tools
Automation frameworks and tools for functional, regression, and performance testing
Backend/database programming
Agile delivery, continuous deployment practices, and documentation per Wipro standards
Design patterns, reusable libraries, and cross-stack automation for multiple technology stacks
Top 3 responsibilities
Design, program, simulate, and test automation solutions; analyze architecture and formulate project plans; contribute to automation roadmap and reusable libraries
Design/execute software development and testing: create test plans/cases, implement automated tests, track metrics, and ensure coverage of functional/non-functional requirements
Communicate with customers and stakeholders: support Agile teams, define acceptance criteria, maintain automation backlog, and ensure maintainability and proper documentation
Must-have skills
5–8 years of hands-on automation/testing experience
Strong background in test automation design, tools, and frameworks; ability to develop automated tests for functional/regression/performance
Experience with backend/database programming and integrating testing into CI/CD
Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, and document processes per standards
Effective communication with developers, testers, and clients; issue tracking and defect management
