Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineering Manager – Core Products to drive cross-functional accountability for overall production technical capabilities. This role ensures timely execution of technical and quality initiatives, expands the organization’s testing and service capabilities, and leads the integration of new quality systems and lean methodologies.
Reporting to the Quality Manager of North America, with a dotted line to the Director of Engineering, the Quality Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in bridging operations, engineering, and quality functions. The successful candidate will coach and develop technical leaders, implement lean and quality tools, and ensure adherence to customer and internal standards while driving measurable performance improvement. The focus of the role will be NA process development with execution in New Jersey headquarters.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee daily engineering quality reviews, ensuring production and testing adherence to quality standards and documentation accuracy. Support production teams with quality-related troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Approve final inspections, process validations, and test results for compliance. Monitor daily KPIs related to defect rates, process conformance, and rework activity. Provide coaching and feedback to engineers and technicians to ensure best practices in problem-solving and continuous improvement. Support customer tech consults to support and limit returns from customers and improve quality Lead cross-functional meetings to review engineering quality issues, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and project status. Conduct product and process audits and support ongoing compliance reviews. Analyze KPI trends and present findings to Quality and Engineering leadership. Partner with the Engineering department to implement lean/quality improvements in production processes. Develop and present monthly Quality Engineering reports to executive leadership, summarizing progress on quality objectives, KPIs, and project milestones. Support M&A due diligence and branch expansion initiatives, including quality system integration. Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials to reflect process enhancements. Conduct coaching sessions with department supervisors to develop leadership and quality management skills. Champion Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies across engineering and production, including but not exclusively initiatives such as mistake-proofing mechanisms, process technical enhancements. Develop and maintain metrics to track Quality and Engineering performance at the appropriate levels across production. Drive coaching and accountability for implementation of quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) within production at the source
Supervisory Responsibilities
May include direct management of Quality Engineering, Testing, or Technical Support personnel within the assigned product scope as the function evolves.

Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership ability, with experience developing teams and coaching technical professionals.
