Role & seniority: Senior Software Test Automation Engineer (embedded focus) in Automotive Software Testing
Stack/tools: Embedded testing in simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL); C; Python or OO language; Git; CAPL (nice-to-have); Vector CANoe; CAN/LIN; Trace32; XCP
Automated testing of embedded software in simulation to detect defects early
Create test specifications and implement/execute test cases from software requirements; evaluate results and provide feedback
Develop/optimize test processes and environments; mentor junior teammates; ensure testability of requirements; collaborate with PMs and developers
MSc in engineering or related field
≥5 years in programming or testing in embedded environments
Proficient in testing methodologies (SIL/MIL/HIL)
Automotive/safety-critical background
Strong C programming; experience with version control (Git)
Python or another OO language
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Analytical, precise, system-level thinking; proactive; good team/mentoring abilities
Willingness to work in the office three days per week
Microcontroller-based systems experience

You are the ideal candidate if you… Hold an MSc degree in an engineering field. Have at least 5 years of experience in programming or testing in embedded environments. Are familiar with and confidently apply testing methodologies (SIL, MIL, HIL). Have an automotive or other safety‑critical development background. Possess strong C programming skills and are experienced in using version control systems (PTC / GIT). Have experience with Python or another object‑oriented programming language. Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Are characterized by analytical thinking, precision and a system‑level approach. Are proactive and comfortable taking responsibility. Work well in a team and have mentoring skills. Are open to working from the office three days a week.
It is an advantage if you… Have experience with microcontroller‑based systems. Have knowledge of CAPL. Are experienced in using Vector CANoe. Are familiar with CAN and LIN communication protocols. Have worked with Trace32. Have experience with the XCP protocol.
