We're looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to join our Test & Validation team and support a wide range of exciting engineering projects spanning prototype builds, performance testing, structural testing, and full vehicle assessments. This is a unique opportunity to work hands on with world class engineering, cutting edge test rigs, and high performance components that shape the success of our F1 cars. As a Engineering Technician, you’ll bring expertise in assembling, preparing, and operating test rigs and equipment. You’ll work across both on site and off site environments to ensure components and assemblies are tested to the highest standards of performance, safety, legality, and quality.
Testing & Operations Conduct a wide variety of tests on and off‑site, including prototype build, performance, legality, and structural testing. Build, assemble, maintain, and operate test rigs and associated equipment. Ensure sensors and data acquisition systems are correctly calibrated before testing. Produce accurate and compliant test reports and schedules where required. Uphold predefined test procedures and maintain safe operation of rigs and equipment. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement Maintain test rigs, identifying and reporting any issues affecting safety or performance. Support all Prototype & Test department activities as needed. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to support continuous improvement. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal departments to deliver efficient and accurate test work. Sign off pass off test documentation for components and assemblies. Test Cells Responsibilities Build, maintain, and operate rotating rigs and pass off rigs within test cells. Support external test activities such as brake testing, engine supplier liaison, and trackside/off site events. Maintain test cell infrastructure including cooling rigs, electronics installations, and supporting equipment. Qualifications Extensive experience working in an R&D environment, supporting the execution of vehicle or powertrain testing and validation, ideally in Formula One. Extensive practical engineering skills and knowledge in the preparation and operation of vehicles and test rigs Experience operating complex test facilities, interpreting data and fault finding. Relevant technical qualifications to Level 5, or level 3 with strong evidence of vocational development equivalent to level 5 Previous supervisory or technical responsibility is desirable.
