Role & seniority: Quality Assurance Analyst / QA Tester, mid-level (3–4 years manual QA)
Stack/tools: Manual testing across features and integrations; Agile/Scrum; Jira, Confluence, Qtest (or similar); test planning, data and environment management; defect tracking and test documentation
Top 3 responsibilities

Design and execute manual test cases for features, enhancements, and system updates

Perform feature, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing in integrated environments; support test planning and data preparation

Log, track, and validate defects in Jira; maintain test cases and documentation; collaborate with product owners and development teams; provide test feedback during the development lifecycle
Must-have skills

3–4 years of manual QA testing experience

Solid understanding of software testing principles and QA best practices

Experience in Agile/Scrum; strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Qtest (or similar); good written and verbal communication

Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities
Nice-to-haves
- POS or retail application testing experience

- Phoenix, AZ (Phoenix Home Office); onsite/hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of four days in the office per week and up to one remote flex day with leader approval; fully onsite and field-based variations exist depending on assign

About the Team

Our Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain. About the Location
Collaborative Work Environment
- At PetSmart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). Our hybrid approach is designed to foster strong collaboration while also supporting flexibility and individual success.
Onsite Position
- This position is considered to be Fully Onsite, work is to be done onsite at a PetSmart location (Phoenix Home Office, PetSmart stores, Merchandise Development Center, Distribution Centers or another PetSmart site).
Field Position
- This position is considered Field based and is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Field associates will spend their time both traveling to and spending time in various PetSmart locations and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office periodically throughout the year. Field associates typically work out of their home office when not traveling as outlined above.

Key Responsibilities Design and execute manual test cases for features, enhancements, and system updates Perform feature, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing in integrated application environments Support QA activities including test planning, test data preparation, and test environment usage Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to review requirements and acceptance criteria Execute testing for sprint releases, major feature releases, and hotfixes Log, track, and validate defects and enhancements using Jira or similar tools Maintain and update test cases and test documentation as functionality evolves Provide timely testing feedback during the development lifecycle Work closely with development teams to reproduce, analyze, and retest defects Collect and share test execution and defect status as needed Skills & Qualifications 3–4 years of manual QA testing experience Solid understanding of software testing principles and QA best practices Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Qtest or similar tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and quality mindset Ability to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines POS or retail application testing experience is a plus, not required
