Akkodis is seeking an Automation Tester for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The position focuses on designing and maintaining automated test suites while collaborating across teams to ensure end‑to‑end quality.
Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Automation Tester Job Responsibilities Include
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, and REST Assured for API automation. Build, optimize, and enhance automation frameworks including data‑driven, hybrid, and BDD models. Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to define comprehensive test scenarios. Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and track defects with clear documentation. Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Perform cross‑browser and regression testing while continuously improving test coverage and automation effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in test automation and QA engineering. Strong expertise in Java, Selenium, REST Assured, and CI/CD tools as required by the client. Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and Playwright (TypeScript) as preferred by the client for automation and framework enhancement.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
