Role & seniority: Building Automation Engineer; mid-level (3–5 years BAS experience); part of the facility infrastructure team overseeing US facility operations.
Stack/tools: Building Automation Systems (BAS) with Siemens Desigo and/or Niagara AX; HVAC, lighting, access control; BAS programming (function libraries, Java, IEC 61131); electrical/mechanical drawings; network protocols; Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize BAS for HVAC, lighting, and access control; program control sequences to boost energy efficiency.
Respond to alarms, troubleshoot remotely/on-site, and coordinate repairs/upgrades with facilities, operations, and vendors.
Track energy consumption, generate reports for sustainability/compliance, implement energy optimization strategies, and document changes for compliance.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; 3–5 years in BAS; 2–4 years in Facilities Management.
Strong knowledge of HVAC/electrical systems, thermodynamics, network protocols; ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
Basic BAS programming (libraries; Java; IEC 61131) and good decision-making/project-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication; self-motivated; ability to work under pressure.

Job Summary The Building Automation Engineer will be a self-motivated individual capable of managing our building automation architecture. As part of our facility infrastructure team this individual will expand and enhance our system and technology for the US facility operations. This position will be responsible for designing, installing, troubleshooting and repairing devices, fixtures, and panels related to the BAS control equipment. This individual will collaborate with other facilities employees, engineers, and contractors to provide efficient and cost-effective facilities. Responsibilities Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) including HVAC, lighting, and access control for optimal performance. Program and configure control sequences to improve energy efficiency and operational reliability. Respond to system alarms and troubleshoot issues remotely or on-site to minimize downtime. Including some off hours Optimize climate control and setback schedules to reduce utility costs and support sustainability goals. Track and analyze energy consumption and self-generation data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. Prepare and submit accurate energy usage reports to headquarters for compliance and corporate sustainability goals. Develop and implement energy optimization strategies to reduce utility costs and improve efficiency across facilities. Monitor performance of energy systems Manage remote facility control for emergency response and operational continuity. Document system changes, maintenance activities, and configurations for compliance and reporting. Coordinate with facilities, operations, and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and integration projects. Ensure OT cybersecurity measures are in place for BAS and related systems to protect critical infrastructure. Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code & NFPA 70E Qualifications
B. S Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree
