Salary: 12 or 14 pa
Role & seniority: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), mid–senior level; reports to Software Development Lead.
Stack/tools: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; REST APIs, microservices; testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, PyTest); CI/CD (GitLab); backend and frontend testing; testing frameworks/tools development.
Validate and enhance backend functional, performance, security, integration, and UI component tests.
Design, develop, and maintain testing frameworks and tools for backend/frontend apps.
Collaborate with developers to improve testability and code quality; implement/maintain continuous testing in CI/CD; investigate and debug complex issues.
4+ years SDET experience focused on REST API and Web UI testing.
Strong programming in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, OOP, design patterns; experience with JUnit/TestNG/Cypress/Playwright/PyTest; familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.
Cloud/platform experience (Azure); containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Ability to work independently and in a team; strong problem-solving and debugging; good communication with Developers/DevOps/BA; solid technical English (reading/writing); ability to work under pressure; attention to detail.
Location & work type: Hybrid in Madrid city center (Sol); 3 days per week in the office; standard business hours.

🔎 What are we looking for? We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Software Development team, who will contribute to a project with one of our global customers, which is one of the leading wealth management groups.
This role combines strong software development expertise with a passion for quality engineering. You will work closely with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript software developers to enhance functional, performance, security unit and integration test coverage, leverage, build and enhance robust testing frameworks, and ensure the highest level of product quality. Direct reporting to the Software Development Lead.
📍Location: Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office.
📋Work schedule Business Hours. No intensive working days for friday or summer.
