Position Location: Atlanta, GA OVERVIEW The Mid-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. This role bridges the gap between software development and quality assurance by writing code to test code, often leveraging AI agents and tooling. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to create robust testing strategies, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and help drive a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Understand requirements, design, implement, and execute automated tests for web, API, and backend systems. Build and maintain test frameworks, tools, and test environments. Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and best practices. Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with engineers to resolve them. Participate in code reviews and contribute to test case reviews. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Continuously improve testing processes, tools and coverage. Work cross-functionally to optimize testing strategies Provide feedback on software design for better testability Reduce test suite execution time while maintaining high defect detection rates
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 3–6 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
