Akkodis is seeking a Power QA Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The position focuses on collecting and analyzing power data on Mac systems and designing tests to assess power behavior of new features.
Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Power QA Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
Collect, analyze, and interpret power test results on Mac platforms to identify performance trends and anomalies. Debug, isolate, and document issues using strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills. Design and execute test plans to evaluate the power impact of new hardware and software features. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Mac systems on test racks, along with supporting lab equipment and infrastructure. Prepare clear test reports, communicate findings to engineering teams, and prioritize tasks based on project needs. Maintain ongoing documentation of test processes to support consistency and future reference.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 3+ years of QA testing experience, ideally with a focus on power or hardware testing. Strong knowledge of Mac hardware and/or macOS with proven debugging and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Python or shell scripting to support automation, with basic object‑oriented programming skills (Swift or Python preferred).

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
