Position: Senior Performance Test Engineer

Office Location: UnionBank Plaza - Ortigas, Pasig City

Job Summary: The Senior Performance Test Engineer designs and executes complex performance test scenarios—including load, stress, and endurance testing—to ensure system stability and scalability. It develops and maintains automated testing frameworks, performs deep performance analysis using APM tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations. The position also integrates performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and mentors junior engineers to strengthen testing capabilities. Overall, this role ensures the delivery of high‑performing, resilient, and large‑scale enterprise systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and execute complex performance test scenarios, including load, stress, and endurance tests. Develop and maintain automated performance testing frameworks using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling. Conduct performance issue analysis using APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic. Recommend system optimizations to enhance resource utilization and application performance. Provide guidance and training to junior engineers on best practices in performance testing. Integrate performance tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Collaborate with product managers, developers, and operations teams to meet performance requirements. Continuously evaluate and incorporate new performance testing tools and methodologies. Generate detailed performance test reports with actionable insights and recommendations. Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related challenges across development and production environments.

Required Experience: 3-5 years of experience in performance testing, with a strong understanding of tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Neoload.

Required Skills

Proficient in automating performance tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous performance assessments. Solid understanding of performance engineering, bottleneck analysis, and optimization techniques. Experienced in collaborating with development and operations teams to address performance issues.
