About the job Job Description We are looking for a skilled Performance Tester / Performance Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in the end‑to‑end performance testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have solid programming capability in Java or C++, a good understanding of microservices-based architecture, and prior exposure to the banking domain. The role involves assessing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, engineering solutions, and ensuring applications meet expected scalability, stability, and throughput benchmarks. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests. Analyze performance bottlenecks across application, microservices, database, and infrastructure layers. Apply performance engineering principles to optimize application responsiveness, throughput, and resource usage. Work closely with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to recommend improvements. Build and maintain reusable performance test scripts, frameworks, and automation utilities. Prepare detailed performance reports with insights, metrics, and tuning recommendations. Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and capacity planning. Leverage logs, metrics, tracing, and monitoring tools for deep-dive analysis. Required Skillset Performance Testing Expertise Strong 8+ years of hands-on experience across the full performance testing lifecycle (planning → scripting → execution → analysis → optimization). Performance Engineering Fundamentals Knowledge of CPU, memory, GC (if Java), threading, asynchronous calls, caching, DB performance, and scalability concepts. Programming Skills Proficiency in Java OR C++ for script customization, utilities, framework building, and debugging. Microservices & Architecture Good understanding of microservices-based systems, API performance, distributed tracing, and service-to-service communication. Banking Domain Knowledge Understanding of banking workflows, transaction systems, latency requirements, and regulatory/non-functional expectations.
