Project Role: Test Automation Lead Project Role Description : Lead the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions. Must have skills : SAP BTP Application Development Good to have skills : NA Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a Test Automation Lead, you will be at the forefront of transforming testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function. Your typical day will involve leading initiatives that enhance quality processes, tools, and methodologies, significantly improving control, accuracy, and integrity. You will work collaboratively with various teams to evolve predictive and intelligent testing approaches, leveraging automation and innovative testing products and solutions to ensure the highest standards of quality in software delivery. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate training and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of testing processes and suggest improvements. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP BTP Application Development. - Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools. - Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies. - Familiarity with agile development practices and methodologies. - Ability to analyze and interpret complex requirements to design effective testing strategies. Key Responsibilities Application Development: Design and develop cloud-native applications on SAP BTP using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model). Implement side-by-side extensions with a strong focus on CAP and ensure clean-core principles are applied. Integration & Connectivity: Integrate SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems using OData, REST APIs, and SAP Event Mesh. Ensure seamless connectivity leveraging SAP BTP services such as Destination, Connectivity, and Authentication. Frameworks & Tools: Utilize SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP Cloud SDK, and Cloud Foundry CLI for professional development. Apply low-code tools like SAP Build Process Automation for backend workflows. DevOps & Deployment: Understand CI/CD pipelines and microservices architecture for SAP BTP applications. Deploy applications on SAP BTP environments (Cloud Foundry). Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices, including XSUAA for authentication and authorization. Ensure compliance with organizational and SAP standards. Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with SAP Solution Architects, Enterprise Architecture teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Participate in full development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, unit / integration testing, and deployment. Qualifications Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP CAP (Node.js) and SAP Build Process Automation Experience with SAP BTP runtimes (Cloud Foundry) and services (SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Workzone, Advanced Event Mesh). Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, and object-oriented programming. Familiarity with test-driven development and responsive UI design principles. Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori Elements development and Launchpad configuration. Basic understanding of SAP S/4 HANA and the Clean Core Extensibility model. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-driven attitude. Language Requirements: Professional proficiency in English (German optional).
