Position: Procurement/Manufacture Quality Engineer, Lead
Location: Socorro, New Mexico
Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site
About the Role: As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for directing and managing all Quality Assurance aspects of Procurement and Manufacturing for several Programs from initial customer interaction through development, procurement, manufacturing, test, and final delivery of Propellent Manufacturing and Casting Operations supporting the Aerospace Industry. This position requires an independent, self-motivated, highly skilled Engineer with experience and extensive knowledge of Quality in a manufacturing facility to manage and oversee manufactured products with minimal oversight and guidance on timelines shorter than usual in the industry. This position is on-site at a Government-Run Facility with some and travel (25%). Lead Quality Engineer Ability to develop, plan, and implement quality strategies, methods, and systems for product supporting production and ensuring Government contract compliance, as applicable. Position is integral with the on-site Operations Team and the remote program and management offices. Support project and manufacturing planning to include personnel assignments, work efforts, customer requirements, deliverables development, and tracking. Support Contract Review, Purchase Orders, Receiving Inspection and Inventory management activities related to specific program procurements. Create/Review Manufacture Work Instructions. Coordinate and track nonconformances, lead root cause analysis/investigations and champion "Continuous Improvement". Instruct employees regarding Quality procedures and requirements when working with Material compliance, acceptance and production. Performs other related duties as assigned, such as Production support/inspection of product.

B. S. in Engineering or Sciences with minimum 5 years of experience. M.S. in Engineering or Sciences may substitute for years of experience.
