JOB PURPOSE Reporting to the Head of Markets Technology, the QA Analyst works within the Information Technology (IT) team to complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform testing-related activities for single or limited multiple platforms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Develops test plans, test cases, scenarios and scripts for functional, non-functional and system integration to ensure quality applications. Executes test scripts using test tools following the defined testing methodology, and ensures results achieve documented goals and objectives. Defines criteria for testing; analyzes and presents results of testing cycles. Contributes to Development team goals by collaborating with other functions on the team, actively participating in team activities and expanding the technical capabilities of the team through continuous learning and sharing of skills and knowledge. Provides testing preparation and execution activities for system integration and UAT to ensure that systems meet the functional and business requirements of the project. Performs other duties, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field is required. Minimum 7 – 10 years of hands-on experience in senior-level testing in the financial services industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities FIX protocol in the context of Fixed Income , testing automation(must have) Scripting experience (must have) Proven problem-solving skills and superb analytical skills, with the ability to think “outside the box” to resolve problems. Good knowledge of a ticketing system, (JIRA). Excellent proficiency with Windows and Linux platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively clarify complex technical issues and concepts in a business-friendly manner to various audiences. Strong organizational skills, with the abilities to manage multiple deliverables in a time-sensitive environment and adapt to frequently changing priorities. Ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently.
