Our client is looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead quality assurance across a broad and complex IT environment. You will oversee the full testing lifecycle for applications, infrastructure, and data platforms, working with internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain test strategies and plans across multiple IT projects. Lead and support a team of test analysts, providing direction and guidance. Promote continuous improvement and expand the use of automated testing. Manage test preparation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. Put in place test governance processes and ensure quality standards are met. Coordinate with third‑party suppliers to align testing approaches. Oversee test environments and test data requirements. Track test metrics and KPIs to monitor quality and release readiness. Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Act as the main escalation point for testing‑related challenges. Ensure compliance with organisational and industry best practices.
Skills & Experience Required
Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. 7+ years in software testing, including 3+ years in a Test Manager role. Experience working across complex IT environments (applications, infrastructure, data platforms). Knowledge of functional and non‑functional testing (performance, security, DR, etc.). Comfortable working with multiple vendors and delivery partners. Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methods. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman) and CI/CD processes. Skilled in stakeholder communication and relationship management.
