Full Description
Testing Coordinator, Upper School Marymount School of New York seeks a Testing Coordinator to join our Upper School Student Support Team. The Testing Coordinator works collaboratively with learning specialists, administrators, faculty, students, and families to provide testing accommodations, oversee standardized testing, and support strategic learning across the division. Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, and student-centered, responding to students, parents, and colleagues with patience, care, and positivity. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of accommodations for students with learning differences as well as familiarity with tools and strategies that support a diverse range of learners. In addition, Marymount faculty are active contributors to school life, serving as advisors, club moderators, and engaged community members. Responsibilities
Oversee administration of special testing (primarily 100% extended time and separate location), including
- Creating and communicating testing schedules for students with special accommodations.
- Proctoring assessments for students with specialized accommodations as needed.
Oversee testing accommodations for standardized testing (AP, ACT, PSAT, SAT), including
- Coordinate logistics for standardized tests
- Gathering and reviewing documentation.
- Supporting families with the application process.
- Advocating with the College Board and ACT when appeals are necessary.
- Proctoring standardized assessments (weekend proctoring required; additional compensation provided).
- Provide Support in the Learning Center
- Help with general administrative support (calendar management, communication, record keeping, database entry)
- Support students with study skills, executive functioning, and academic strategies on an as-needed basis.
- Engage fully in school programming as a faculty member and advisor.
- Participate in Upper School faculty meetings, and attend student support meetings and case conferences as needed.
- Upper School finals administration
- Help coordinate logistics of Upper School end-of-year exams
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in science, math, education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching or supporting Upper School students.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
