Role & seniority: Senior Tester; risk-management and controls testing specialist within the Center of Excellence (CoE).

Overview The Senior Tester performs control testing in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal MPMS standards and methodologies. They will engage closely with Line 1, Line 2, and Audit stakeholders as required. The Senior Tester provides subject‑matter expertise, strengthens risk culture, and supports capability uplift across the CoE.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of the the end to end Control Testing Framework, Methodology & Assets including annual refreshes, methodology updates, and integration of regulatory changes. Partner with the CoE Manager to define the annual control testing strategy and tracking quality indicators over time. Provide meaningful insights from testing control outcomes to support insightful reporting. Operational Excellence Develop an understanding of the organizational Risk Management Framework, Standards and methodologies Own end‑to‑end delivery of assigned testing, including planning, scheduling, tracking milestones, and managing dependencies. Contribute to the review, enhancement and development of controls as maybe required Drive collection of high-quality testing evidence by coordinating with onshore/offshore teams and escalating delays/data gaps appropriately. Maintain testing documentation, ensuring clear traceability between test steps, evidence, and outcomes. Provide recommendations based on best practices to address/identify control gaps and weaknesses. Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and timelines Contribute to deliver periodic status reports, dashboards, and updates to CoE leadership and stakeholders. Recommend control improvements, automation opportunities, or simplifications to uplift efficiency and effectiveness of the testing program. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure alignment with quality expectations and incorporate QA feedback into future work. Champion strong risk culture by reinforcing accountability, structured documentation, and alignment to enterprise risk frameworks. Support partnership with control owners and risk stakeholders to strengthen awareness of control expectations and testing standards. Escalate significant issues, exceptions, or emerging risks promptly to relevant stakeholders. People Leadership Mentor and support Junior Testers by sharing expertise on test planning, execution techniques, documentation standards, and controls Contribute to development and delivery of training content, templates, and guidance documents to uplift team knowledge and testing capability. Support the CoE Manager in planning and allocation of the workload, ensuring optimal use of team capacity and capability uplift programs Risk & Governance Conduct end to end control testing in line with approved methodologies, regulatory requirements, and MPMS standards, maintaining complete traceability between scope, procedures, evidence, and conclusions. Identify control weaknesses or gaps, provide clear and practical remediation recommendations, and partner with control owners to support timely resolution, retesting, and uplift of the control environment. Maintain review ready workpapers, monitor emerging risks, and escalate significant issues or exceptions promptly to relevant stakeholders, supporting transparency, defensibility, and strong audit outcomes. Experience & Personal Attributes 5–7 years’ experience in risk management (RCSA, controls testing, controls review, internal audit, SOX etc.) in Financial Services industry Previous experience in GCC/shared services preferred Working knowledge of GRC tools (Preferable) Proven ability to interpret complex control environments and provide high‑quality insights.
