The Opportunity We are looking for a hands-on Playwright Automation Engineer to join one of our key enterprise clients in Melbourne.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced agile environments, enjoys building scalable automation frameworks, and takes ownership of quality outcomes across UI and API layers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright Develop automation scripts using TypeScript or JavaScript Work across UI, API, and integration layers Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) Collaborate closely with Developers, BAs, and Product teams Perform root cause analysis and drive defect resolution Contribute to test strategy and shift-left testing initiatives
Mandatory Skills & Experience 5+ years in Test Automation / Quality Engineering Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript Experience testing modern web applications API testing experience (REST, payload validation) Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines Strong Agile experience Excellent communication skills
