We are seeking an Controls and Automation Engineer to help us with the continuous improvement and assurance of technological development , that can ensure communication in field, production and control level using edge computing and interfaces to ERP and MES systems while complying with co-developed standards for preparation and digitalization of production data.
Software development / programming of applications for end devices such as industrial computers / edge devices / possibly robots in the production area Establishing connectivity between / with various remote applications Setting up and maintaining databases (data management) in preparation for data analytics Identifying and evaluating new trends and developments in the field of hardware development and digitization for industrial applications Automation / digitalization of existing systems on machines with the help of PLC and microcontroller programming Connection and evaluation of additional intelligent sensors, microcontrollers, industrial computers and monitors on new and existing machines (retrofit) for the realization of Industry 4.0 applications and monitoring systems Market evaluation of new trends as well as testing of new hardware components e.g. sensors for production plants If necessary, design and development of hardware-related backend applications for the processing of production data

Compensation
HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
Competitive base salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location). This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
