Role & seniority: Software/Quality Engineer (Software Quality Engineer) with senior-level responsibilities in quality across the software life cycle.
Stack/tools: Software Development Pipeline, Configuration Management, collaboration tools; AS9100 audit support, program metric definition and reporting; nonconformance tracking, root cause analysis, corrective action.
Independently evaluate software processes/products for conformance and drive continuous improvement.
Verify quality throughout the SDLC and maintenance activities; develop and monitor software metrics.
Lead or fill Quality function activities (QC/QA/Engineering), track defects/nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and report to program management.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience in software/hardware development environments and Agile/Scrum.
Ability to obtain Secret clearance; US citizenship.
Strong verbal/written communication; ability to present quality assessments to customers and management.
Lean/Six Sigma Black/Green Belt; ASQ CSQE certification.
Experience with space programs, government customers, and space vehicle suppliers.
Experience with test planning, nonconformance processing, and metric-driven process improvement.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related technical discipline (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent). Experience in a Software/Hardware development environment and/or production around Software/Hardware Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development Ability to attain Secret security clearance prior to start US Citizenship is required

Independent evaluation of software processes and products and their conformity to standards, models, and software engineering program-defined processes Ensuring quality is built into program processes and products by checking for completeness, consistency, correctness, and conformance throughout the entire software development life cycle and maintenance activities to determine whether the program's objectives have been satisfied and if continuous improvement is needed Developing, monitoring, measuring, and analyzing software metrics for continuous improvement Ability to fill all aspects of the Quality function, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering. The candidate needs to be able to take on roles that sometimes fall outside of the conventional SQE job description, like directing AS9100 audit support, program metric definition and reporting, supplier surveys, evaluation of nonconformances trending, and driving lessons learned and best practices Ability to present software quality assessment of products and processes to the customer and program management Track and manage nonconformances, software defects, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action activities for the program
