Working knowledge of credit card operations, banking, loyalty programs, and regulatory considerations
Experience testing web services and databases
Subject matter expertise across system components and testing frameworks; ability to extend/refactor test frameworks

Job Summary The Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer III is responsible for test automation with agile and waterfall teams for core application projects which impact our care center, clients and customers. This role works with team members to ensure automated testing is complete with proper coverage for all the requirements. Essential Job Functions: Test Design - Write automation test scripts using an object-oriented Ruby Cucumber framework for multiple applications like web based, web services and database. Contribute to extending the existing framework. Test Execution & Reporting - Execute tests as needed throughout projects, analyze and report test results. Identify and track defects through their lifecycle. Utilize defect management and organization skills, provide progress and metrics on test execution and defects to project team. Provide leadership while contributing to team and company objectives. Follow team and company standards and contribute to refine and improve process and procedure, while defining and maintaining test data. Subject Matter Expert – Develop and maintain expert understanding of all of the components and functionality of the system and framework. Provide guidance, mentoring, and training on testing practices and advise impacts for system changes. Business Communications – Demonstrate foundational knowledge of credit card operations, banking, financial, loyalty rewards, and credit card regulatory while working with various areas of the business. Demonstrate leadership by driving the automated testing of projects and collaborate with stakeholders in understanding the testing needs and reporting on testing results. Reports To: Technology Head of Quality Assurance Direct Reports: None Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
