Purpose of the Role The QA Manager ensures that Tiger Technology’s software products (cloud‐hybrid data management / storage / archive) are released with high quality, reliability, performance and security — across multiple platforms and geographies. The role will lead QA strategy, build a strong QA discipline, work closely with engineering, product, support and operations, and drive continuous improvement of test practices and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the QA strategy for Tiger Technology’s product portfolio: functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, security testing, regression and release validation.
Lead, mentor and grow the QA team: set objectives & KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, test automation coverage, time to release, test pass rate). Collaborate with Product Management and Product Owners to understand product requirements, ensure testability and clarity of acceptance criteria. Work with Engineering and DevOps to integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines; drive test automation, infrastructure, tooling and QA environment management. Establish test plans, test cases, test scenarios (manual & automated) and ensure proper coverage for new features and existing functionality. Coordinate performance benchmarking and scalability testing for mission-critical deployments. Monitor quality metrics, maintain dashboards, report on quality status to senior leadership and recommend improvements. Ensure defect tracking, root‐cause analysis, release readiness gates and post-release reviews. Work with Support/Operations to monitor and feed back issues from the field, ensure continuous quality improvements. Stay up to date with industry QA best practices, tools, test automation frameworks, and drive adoption of improvements within the team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Excellent leadership and people-management skills: able to mentor and scale QA teams, set goals and drive outcomes. Proven experience (5+ years) in QA management or senior QA roles in software companies (ideally in enterprise software, data management or cloud solutions). Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA lifecycle, QA methodologies (Agile/Scrum, CI/CD). Experience with test automation frameworks, tools and practices, scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and integration with build pipelines is a plus. Experienced in performance & scalability testing, multi-platform compatibility testing (Windows, Linux, macOS) and storage/data intensive applications is a strong plus. Strong analytical mindset, metrics‐driven, with excellent communication skills — able to present quality status to senior leadership. Familiarity with hybrid cloud, storage workflows, archive tiering, NAS/SAN systems or related enterprise IT infrastructure would be advantageous considering the company’s focus. High level of English
