Stack/tools: RF test equipment (vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal/function generators, DMMs); RF circuit tuning and alignment; Microsoft Office; structured manufacturing/test environment
Perform advanced RF testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and alignment on X/Ku/Ka-band transceivers and related microwave hardware
Provide oversight to help production meet weekly/monthly shipment targets; identify inefficiencies and support corrective actions
Train/mentor new technicians and conduct routine maintenance/calibration of RF test equipment per released documentation
Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance
8+ years of progressive experience testing/integrating complex digital/microwave hardware
Proficiency with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, DMMs)
Hands-on experience with manual/tuning of RF circuits and alignment of RF assemblies
Able to lift up to 35 lbs, occasional travel, overtime as needed; MS Office familiarity
Experience in lean principles or continuous improvement within manufacturing/test environments
Defense/microwave hardware background; comfort working with complex RF/microwave systems

Hourly: $32 - $40/Hour (4 10 hour shifts) Founded in 2004 we are a 150 employee defense focused technology manufacturer employs that specializes in designing and producing manpack & fly away satellite communication terminals for expeditionary, tactical & government users. We support U.S. Federal, DoD, and allied defense markets, delivering ruggedized RF and microwave communication systems used in the most demanding environments. This is a 6 month maximum contract role supporting their production test operations. As a Production Test Technician III, you will perform advanced RF testing, alignment, troubleshooting, and calibration on high reliability microwave communication hardware while supporting production throughput and shipment goals. What You Will Be Doing Perform RF testing, tuning, troubleshooting, and alignment on complex microwave hardware, including X, Ku, and Ka band transceivers Provide oversight and problem solving support to help the production team meet weekly and monthly shipment targets Identify test inefficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement using lean principles Train, mentor, and support onboarding of new technicians as directed by Test or Production leadership Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and adjustments on RF test equipment and ensure test processes follow released documentation What You Need for this Position Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance 8+ years of progressive experience testing and integrating complex digital/microwave hardware
